![]() The Bollywood-esque dream of “Mere beti aur bete ko engineer/doctor/lawyer banana hai” has never really faded. It’s simple really, we Indians are really good at our technicals, right from the time our teacher made sure we learnt to write ‘cursive’ to the time that dad made sure our math tables were upto scratch. Inspiration for doing this? Well, my personal experience as a high school kid who studied in both the Indian as well as the New Zealand education system (I’ve lived in Sheep land since the age of 14 and only returned at the age of 24 for my MBA). Through stretching their imagination, unleashing their creative potential, improving their EQ (Emotional Quotient) and instilling some solid life skills. Not the sort that just helps them do better at school, but the kind of education that helps them do better at life. The idea is to create hands-on activities that not only engage your kid but also provide them with a different sort of education. And yes, we build all of this ourselves each month, every month. What’s in this Box? (Getting curious aren’t you.) Well some really cool shiz – from science experiments, board games, 3-D puzzles, building activities, craft & art to cool books and a bunch of such stuff. In its current form, our Bazinga Box consists of 5-6 activities which will be delivered to your doorstep with a new theme every month. Well, we want to create world-class products and strong communities by leveraging technology and modern materials to provide truly innovative experiences for kids. The mission of Bazinga Box is simple, we want to meet the need for creative and “out of the box” solutions by encouraging design-led thinking from an early age. Well, we are trying to change that – and that too, with a higher purpose in mind. Aren’t you parents sick of seeing the same old board games and toys that you played with as kids ? And what’s with those ‘educational’ products that remain so damn boring. I am Rohit and I founded Bazinga Box earlier this year with the quest to provide a relevant product in today’s saturated educational and toy industry. I will also share some of the themes you can expect to read in subsequent blog entries. I want to talk about why we have started Bazinga Box and discuss the thought process that went into creating our venture. ![]() Namaste & welcome folks to Bazinga Box’s first ever blog entry. ![]()
